Lately, I’ve been planning a party of my own, looking for a unique and fun location for a charity gala. I’ve looked at restaurants, clubs and hotel ballrooms, but by far my favorite spots are the local museums in Dallas and Fort Worth. Museums are GREAT places to host your next event for several reasons. First, they set the tone for your party with pre-existing and fabulous décor! Sure, you may have to add tables and chairs, or some lounge furniture thrown here and there, however, there is nothing that adds to the ambiance of your event like being surrounded by precious works of art. Second, hosting your event in a museum adds a cultural and educational aspect to an event. This is great for groups getting to know each other, as it lends to easy conversation. Lastly, most museums are non-profit establishments. Membership and rental fees are supporting a worthy cause in your community (and not to mention that they can sometimes be tax deductible!)
