Attention Meeting Planners!
New Mandates have been issued by the federal government that require key data for air travelers.

Starting May 15, 2009 - All airlines will require the full name of the passenger exactly as it appears on government-issued identification.

August 15, 2009 - All domestic airlines and their travel agents will be required to provide each passenger's full name, as well as the passenger's date of birth and gender.

October 31, 2009 - All international airlines and their travel agents will be required to provide each of those items for all international reservations. It is important for you to capture the information that will be used when traveling to your event on your registration information when providing air to your event. It may be possible that your clients' names appear differently depending upon the ID. For example, a passport may include full legal names like "Katherine Anne Smith" while a driver's license may simply list the name as "Kathy Smith." Be sure to state on the registration that  the name matches the ID they plan to use at the airport so that the flight reservation will correspond exactly.

Airline Reservation Tips:
Please make sure that you include these fields on future registration information:
• First name on Government issued photo ID that will be used at the airport
• Middle Name on Government issued photo ID that will be used at the airport
• Last Name on Government issued photo ID that will be used at the airport
• Date of Birth
• Gender
