Hot Trend: Décor Takes on Corporate Branding
Corporate branding at special events is nothing new. We have seen it all from custom gobos, ice sculptures, branded napkins, and even body paint. What I have seen lately is a more creative approach to branding using key décor items. Not only are the items eye-catching, but they cause a ‘stir’ in the attendees, thus generating the ‘buzz’ that each company tries to achieve. This buzz caused by the right branding using décor could be enough to cause a “Tipping Point” for a product or company.
A few items that we, at Meritage Events, have seen and think have some true potential are the new chairs by Lounge 22, Printed Crystal Velon and Flogos. All of these items have gotten some press in the event industry lately, but here is how we see them taking a branding event to the next level.
Lounge 22 Chairs: The Custom Upholstered Chair is brand new to Lounge 22, but it is not a new idea. What is so different about this style is that the base of the chair really allows for premium corporate branding of a logo or an idea. They offer it on their Congo line for the chairs and sofas and it seams pretty simple to have it done. You just choose the furniture, send then a high-resolution image or logo and that’s it…a custom branded design!
Printed Crystal Velon: This is a great product that is so simple in concept, but when executed can be stunning and makes a huge impact. Crystal Velon is velon that is crystal clear and can be printed on. This product works best when it is adhered to any smooth surface, like a vase, wall or even a plexi glass table or ghost chair. This is great for corporate branding or tradeshow set-up design. You can print anything on Crystal Velon and have it match your set-up or just put the company logo directly on it. Once it is installed it looks almost like you had a custom piece built, very cool!
Flogos: What is a Flogo you ask? Well it is basically a “flying logo” or shape made out of soap and lighter-than-air gases such as helium. This allows your custom logo to float above the crowd causing your guest to look up at your design or event branding. Now this idea is not “décor” in the traditional sense, but it does make a really cool visual impact for events and causes quite a stir with attendees.
So take branding head-on, but in a chic and creative way, of course! Trust me, your event or branding campaign with thank you.
