It is amazing to me how fast Twitter has grown in popularity AND as a marketing tool. Did you know you can follow various tweeters to find out about travel discounts and deals? I didn't.  Recently, while checking out one of my favorite travel-related blogs, I read that Marriott has launched a “Deal of the Day” website, primarily being publicized through their Twitter page. For the next two weeks, every day at 7:00AM (ET), Marriott will announce a great deal at a specific property. What’s the catch? Well, you only have 24hrs to jump on the deal! That’s quite an incentive to follow their tweets J

There are many other travel-related tweeters out there and their numbers are growing. I don’t know about you, but I think I might spend some time searching them out and adding them to my “follow” list. You never know what great deals you might stumble upon.
