Out & About in Dallas
It is HOT this weekend in Dallas. Not only in temperature but in activities! In case you need some new ideas about what to do during our summer heat waves, here are a few cool things happening around town...
Rock the Block. Live music and good food, this is a fundraising event that benefits the UT Southwestern Medical Center and Kidd's Kids, a local charity which sends chronically and terminally ill children and their families to Disney World. Admission is $10 per person.

Indie Shop Soiree. Do you love chocolate, cocktails and shopping? If so, this activity is for you! Browse 20+ emerging independent designers/artists for on-of-a-kind products while enjoying delicious cocktails, chocolates served by gorgeous male models, and a great DJ. Admission is $15 which includes chocolate, cocktails/wine, and gift bag. Not a bad way to get out of the heat.

Taste of Dallas 2009 starts today and continues through Sunday. Lots of live music, food from local restaurants, rides and more. Admission is free, but bring cash for food vendors and rides.
