Katie Day
After years of experience in managing media, corporate and charity events, Katie Day saw a need for professional, strategic event planning and execution while also providing a high degree of personal involvement and service to each client large or small. Katie has taken her company and her industry to new places creating expectations that can only be met by such a company as Meritage Events and its employees. Her philosophy of creative planning and meticulous management has resulted in stellar events for Fortune 500 companies as well as private clients. With Meritage Events, no detail will be left unnoticed.
Even as the company grows, Katie continues to oversee and personally handle every event budget as well as all vendor relations. Katie is a skilled negotiator and as a result will provide an outstanding performance as well as cost savings for her clients.
Katie has had the opportunity to work previously with other event companies in the industry. She has held positions at D Magazine, RSVP Soiree and Dallas Fan Fares, where she directed Destination Management.
Although Katie spends most of her day planning and organizing events, she finds the time to also give back to her community. Katie has taken part in several cycling events for charity, walked in the Susan G. Komen three-day walk to raise money for cancer research and also volunteers on a regular basis at the Ronald McDonald House through Junior League. Katie is an active member of her community and a star in her industry.
Katie is a member of Association of Destination Management Executives and Meeting Planners International.

Tacy Infante
Tacy Infante is Vice President of Meritage Events and manages the Austin office. Her experience in event production began at Dallas’ iconic D Magazine where she managed the marketing events that supported the company’s website.
After working with D Magazine, Tacy moved to Miami, Florida and worked in the specialty event sector. She flourished in her position but missed her home state of Texas and returned in 2006 to join Meritage Events.
Tacy has an eye for details and a personality to keep things fun. She is adept at spotting and executing new industry trends and has been recognized for the fresh ideas and flawless results she provides each client.
She was the recipient of the International Special Events Society (ISES) Austin Rising Star Award in 2008 and was named “Best Up-and-Coming Special Event Planner” in 2009 by Texas Meetings + Events Magazine. In addition, she was nominated for a Texas Star Award in 2009 and an Esprit Award for “Best ISES Team Effort/Budget Under $75,000” in the same year.
Tacy is a member of International Special Events Society (ISES) and Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI). She also serves on the Advisory Board for Austin Community College Programs of Hospitality Management, Event Planning, Tourism and Culinary Arts.

NOMINATED FOR ISES ESPRIT AWARDS
International Special Events Society
Tacy Infante, Vice President of Meritage Events, Austin has been nominated for the prestigious ISES Esprit Awards from the International Special Events Society (ISES) in the category of 2009 Best ISES Team Effort Budget Under $75,000. Tacy has been a special event professional for almost 7 years. In that time, Tacy has also been nominated for a Texas Star Award while at Meritage Events.
The Best ISES Team Effort Budget Under $75,000 event nominated for a 2009 ISES Esprit was CulinART 2008. CulinART, A Fantasy OF The Healing Arts was a very successful gala fundraiser produced by the Austin ISES chapter to benefit a local charity and the chapter’s scholarship fund.
Tacy says “This nomination is so great for the ISES Austin chapter! I was so lucky to be a part of such a magical team. The one item I am most proud of is the relationship that we have built with the charity that benefited from this event, The Wright House Wellness Center. They are a local charity that receives no national funding, so being able to directly affect the community in such a positive fashion was most rewarding of all.”
